サグラダ・ファミリア Sagrada Familia

フランスからピレネー山脈を越えてスペインに入りました。国境は素通り。パスポートの必要どころか車を止める必要もありませんでした。

We crossed the Pyrenees and entered Spain from France. We passed through the border without stopping as well as without showing our passports.

バルセロナに着いて、あこがれのサグラダ・ファミリアへ。ガウディの斬新過ぎるデザインの教会は本当に圧巻でした。完成したら天国から見てみたいものです。
中の博物館に日本人の名前が紹介されていました。今井兼次。ガウディ研究家で、長崎にガウディの影響を受けた建築物を建てたらしいです。そんな日本に建物があったなんて知りませんでした。

We arrived in Barcelona and went to the Sagrada Familia, the place I had so much wished to see. This very novel church, designed by Gaudi was surely a masterpiece. If the construction is ever finished, I'd like to see it from Heaven.
I found the name of a Japanese man in the museum - Kenji Imai, who researched Gaudi's works, and then designed a building, which was influenced by Gaudi, in Nagasaki, Japan. I hadn't heard of him and his unusual building before.
